The only thing missing were food allergy or dietary warnings, such as vegetarian save or nut free。 At the expense of sounding rude, which by no means is my intention, I would like to mention that ‘ Thank you NetGalley and Storey Publishing for the ARC of the book in exchange for an honest review。 Tomato Love is everything I was expecting。 As a tomato lover myself, I was overjoyed by the great variety of recipes the book offers。 There is not a time of the year where you cannot cook with tomatoes! The only thing missing were food allergy or dietary warnings, such as vegetarian save or nut free。 At the expense of sounding rude, which by no means is my intention, I would like to mention that ‘Pan con Tomate’ is not a tapa per se。 It may now have been adopted in other parts of Spain as a tapa - seeing how simple and delicious it is - but it is a dish that is usually eaten in Catalonia。 Originally, the name of the dish is ‘Pa amb Tomaquet’ and it is an appetiser or main dish paired with charcuterie or cheese。 All in all, Tomato Love is a book that makes you be excited about cooking and, most important, eating tomatoes daily! 。。。more

A good book for anyone who likes tomatoes and want new recipes, or for anyone who might not fully appreciate tomatoes, but is open to try new things。 I found several recipes I am interested in trying as soon as possible, like spicy gazpacho, sun-dried tomato-white bean dip, and some interesting sauces。 It is easy to veganize almost all of the non-vegan recipes。 Recommended! I love the great pictures in this book!

What a beautifully written book all about tomatoes。 I love the intro and the tomato varieties at the beginning。, who knew there were so many。 I have tried a few of the recipes and our favourites are the Sun-dried Tomato Scones and the Root Vegetable Latkes。 Another great thing about this book is all the photos to go with the recipes, so nice to see what the dish would look like。

I am obsessed with this! It's so cool! I eat so many tomatoes that my family says I'm going to turn into one。 Unfortunately, I never really cooked with them a lot aside from adding a can of tomatoes here and there to a sauce or soup。 Sometimes my Nan and I can tomatoes so I'll have some really good ones to use during the winter months。This cookbook has so many great ideas! The tomato grilled cheese is delicious and I definitely want to try the BLTK。 I have some Morningstar bacon I need to use up I am obsessed with this! It's so cool! I eat so many tomatoes that my family says I'm going to turn into one。 Unfortunately, I never really cooked with them a lot aside from adding a can of tomatoes here and there to a sauce or soup。 Sometimes my Nan and I can tomatoes so I'll have some really good ones to use during the winter months。This cookbook has so many great ideas! Howard not only guides readers on how to properly store, prep, squeeze, grate, and wedge tomatoes, she also explains how tomato seeds have a distinctive taste that just doesn’t work for every recipe。 She then gives great instructions on how to remove the seeds, pulp, and core like a pro。I really appreciated the author’s guidance for buying canned tomatoes。 Howard advised purchasing whole tomatoes and then chopping them yourself rather than buying pre-chopped tomatoes, because most of them contain chemicals that help tomatoes hold their shape after being cooked。 This results in tomatoes that don’t break down properly for recipes – not to mention lackluster flavor。Other than wishing there were more meatless recipes, I would recommend this cookbook to anyone wanting to use more fresh or shelf-stable tomatoes in their meals。 The author’s advice was very helpful and her instructions were easy to follow for anyone wanting to explore more options for using any variety of tomato。 。。。more

I LOVE tomatoes。 I love them raw, cooked, canned, in a sauce - so whenever I can get my hands on a new tomato inspired recipe, I want it。 While I liked this cookbook, there are some downsides。What I liked:- A quick run through at the beginning of the authors preferred tomatoes and preparation techniques- Beautiful, detailed photographs of each and every dish- Easy-to-make recipes with easy-to-find ingredients - Recipes include different forms of tomatoes which is a realistic representation of ho I LOVE tomatoes。 I love them raw, cooked, canned, in a sauce - so whenever I can get my hands on a new tomato inspired recipe, I want it。 While I liked this cookbook, there are some downsides。What I liked:- A quick run through at the beginning of the authors preferred tomatoes and preparation techniques- Beautiful, detailed photographs of each and every dish- Easy-to-make recipes with easy-to-find ingredients - Recipes include different forms of tomatoes which is a realistic representation of how we eat them year round (not always fresh from the vine) What I didn't like:- Many of the recipes are just normal menu items that happen to contain tomatoes。 I expected all of the recipes to be more tomato centric, such as the tomato scones and tomato goat cheese tart。 Chicken skewers that include tomatoes, grilled flank steak with tomatoes and oven baked cod are not really recipes I was expecting to find in this cookbook。 - Some of the recipes reuse the main tomato ingredient, such as the any day red sauce。 In a book where the sauce is the main event and several recipes use it, it would make more sense to list the recipe for the sauce and then immediately follow with all the recipes that contain it, instead of having those spread out。 There are some great tomato-dominant recipes in here and some recipes that you can pull out when you’re like, "I have too many tomatoes; what can I make。?" Overall, I would recommend this cookbook。 Just know that not every recipe is all about the tomatoes。Thank you NetGalley and Storey Publishing for providing me with this ARC in exchange for my honest review。 。。。more

Tomato Love is a very good cookbook to have when you're trying to find ways to use a lot of garden tomatoes。 The romesco sauce, salsa, and sun-dried tomato scones look wonderful and I can't wait to try them, along with the Roasted tomato basil soup with pumpernickel croutons。 There are a lot of recipes using canned tomatoes, which makes me happy because I am reviewing this book in the winter。 Last summer/fall, I canned my crop of garden tomatoes and I have plenty of home-canned organic tomatoes Tomato Love is a very good cookbook to have when you're trying to find ways to use a lot of garden tomatoes。 The romesco sauce, salsa, and sun-dried tomato scones look wonderful and I can't wait to try them, along with the Roasted tomato basil soup with pumpernickel croutons。 There are a lot of recipes using canned tomatoes, which makes me happy because I am reviewing this book in the winter。 Last summer/fall, I canned my crop of garden tomatoes and I have plenty of home-canned organic tomatoes left to use。 I have only one criticism: There are only two recipes that I did not like--the barbecue sauce and the cocktail sauce。 This is because they don't use fresh or canned tomatoes, but recommend using Heinz ketchup and Heinz chili sauce。 That's too processed for me。Overall, this is a great book of ideas for using your garden tomatoes。 I received a free copy of this book from the publishers via Netgalley。 My review is voluntary。 。。。more

If you love tomatoes, this book is for you。 It will introduce to a few recipes that are not common to other cookbooks。 Plus there are some you might recognize but made in a different way like “No-Cook Tomato Sauce”, which I’m excited to try。 This book will give you some different recipes to try and shake up your routine。

I am also an owner of an instant pot, and there are recipes specifically for them!
